Junior Achievement Logo

This program is only available to students attending Saskatoon Public Schools who are registered in the Junior Achievement Program. This program is offered Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Instructor: Kendall Pierce

Prerequisite: None

By collaborating with professional volunteer consultants to design, organize and operate a real business, students will experience how a small enterprise functions. These new entrepreneurs work within the structure of our Canadian economic system and realize the benefits it provides. Company Program - A Student Venture offers new possibilities for the next generation of successful start-ups.

  • Discover the risks and rewards of starting a business
  • Systematically solve actual business challenges
  • Demonstrate the importance of ethical standards in business
  • Foster positive relationships between youth and business communities.

This is the second year that this credit is available for Saskatchewan high school students who complete two years of participation in Company Programs. Junior Achievement of Saskatchewan is the only JA charter in Canada that is able to offer this credit.

To register for the Program:

  1. Students will have to register in this course for two consecutive years in order to be eligible to receive the Entrepreneurship 30 credit.

  2. Once students have been approved for the company program, they must formally register in the Entrepreneurship 30 program. The registration form is available at the bottom of the page.

  3. The Educational Consultant will communicate the registration of students to the Guidance Office and the Principal on the appropriate schools.

  4. The teacher assigned will be responsible to receive the student evaluations from Junior Achievement and assign students a mark based on the assessment policy designated by JA and the Educational Consultant.
