BIOLOGY 30

Science 10
Biology 20 is strongly recommended

Description: This course continues from Biology 20 and includes the chemical basis of life, the study of cells, classical and molecular genetics, basic metabolism and DNA replication, transcription and translation. The anatomy (structure) and physiology (function) of human systems will also be studied, concluding with an optional rat dissection. A unit on evolution completes the Biology 20/30 block.

Required Textbook:
McDougal Littell Biology (2008) – Stephen Nowickil.
Students registered in this course will be provided with a licencing key to access an electronic version of this text.

Description: This course complements Physics 20, covering a number of topics not covered in Physics 20. The focus is on the study of motion, including a description of motion, and causes of motion.
