Case Study Resources

The following materials are designed to aid teachers in understanding and developing case studies for classroom use.

Writing Case Studies - This is an abridged how-to manual originally published by International Records Management Trust. With their permission, it has been slimmed down and modified to suit the K-12 audience. The document offers a description of the components in case construction. The link will open as a printable Adobe Acrobat file (pdf).

Writing Case Studies: Structure and Form - another website based guide describing the process of developing cases based on points of educational interest.

Using Cases in the Classroom - This 4 page document provides some rationale for the use of cases and offers suggestions on how they can be employed.

Filamentality Search - It is possible to find prepared case studies on the Internet. The search page at filamentality locates material prepared by other educators. Read the search instructions on the page for best results.
