Community Club - Early readers can learn more about community
workers.
- Pioneer
Communities - This drag and drop activity asks students
to match up pioneer trades and shops to their respective tools
and services.
- Making
Compound Pioneer Words - These three activities allow
students to drag and drop words on the screen to make compound
words. Students can check their work to see how well they

This 10 minute movie discusses how pioneer communities changed
over time to meet the needs of the people who lived in them.
It also discusses how the influx of people brought new services
to communtities, making them more attractive to future residents.
The impact of technology on the changes in a community are also
presented.
