Our movie gallery has movies on various topics, so please have a peek to see if there is a movie available on a topic you are specifically look to teach. However, there are a couple of movies that have been designed to be used as introductions to Saskatchewan Heritage and Saskatchewan in general.

Facilitate an emotional reaction in your students by watching this incredibly beautiful video on the Tourism Saskatchewan Web site. The video is based on the Connie Kaldor song, Bigger Than Anywhere Else. The images are breathtaking! This is a great way to start off any unit of study on Saskatchewan - It is a great spring board for creative writing or artistic expression and could be used as a model for students creating PowerPoint presentations on their own units of study!   • Images Canada Educational Resources - Two lesson plans and an idea bank structured around using primary sources have been developed for Images Canada. The lesson plans include detailed guidelines for educators, including learning outcomes/expectations/objectives, suggested criteria for assessment, instructions for classroom use, and worksheets. It is important that students learn about primary sources at an early age and use them in appropriate ways. Primary sources give students the opportunity to extract and interpret information, exercising higher thinking skills in the process.
