SCHOOL ART 2001
Student Art Gallery

This annual presentation of paintings, drawings, photographs and sculpture by students of Saskatoon's Public and Catholic schools is organized by the Mendal Art Gallery to acknowledge the excellence fo art making by Saskatoon's young people. Each year the Mendal presents the work - selected by jury- of almost 200 students, to encourage a continous committment to art at the primary and secondary levels. The selection committee, comprised of a representative from each of the two school systems as well as of the Mendal Art Gallery chose at least two works from each of the schools that submitted an appropriate number of works for consideration. In total 197 drawings, paintings, prints and sculpture were choosen.
