Module 3 - On Assignment Group Project

(eZine student page / eZine teacher page)

Sample eZines and articles:

Mighty Bargain Hunter - http://www.mightybargainhunter.com/articles.htm is a site that focuses on appealing to plain folks. The articles are conversational and informal, and the design is simplistic and simple. This is a classic eZine.

Implosions - http://www.implosions.net/eng/index.html is a visually appealing site with subtle sales built in. The ads are here but they are less obvious. The site is targeted at those in crisis, particularly women. A good example of writing articles to advertise.

Slate - http://slate.msn.com/id/2065896/view/2057067/ is a site that filters through news and holds a specific bias as most eZines do, although the bias is more subtle. . A lot of information is available and the design is consistent and functional. However, the use of pop-up adds is annoying.

On Advertising:

Ezine Advertising - http://www.homebusinesscenter.com/ezineads.html - is a site with the basic techniques of advertisers explained. Be wary of ironically falling into the traps they set even as they explain them.
