(teacher lesson for this lesson)

Introduction:

Each page of a magazine is filled with information for its intended audience. In this lesson, you will learn the different types of magazine articles and be responsible for finding examples of each.

Activities:

Task One - Can we categorize?
While it may seem that most of the articles in a magazine fall under the umbrella category of features, there are actually approximately seven different types of magazine articles.

Read the following information on Types of Magazine Articles and prepare to play the Article Idea Game.

Task Two - Ready, Set, Go

To see if you have an understanding of the types of magazine articles, prepare to play The Article Idea Game.
