• Word Search - Students must search for words related to the study of 2D and 3D shapes.
• Word Search - Student must search for words related to the study of 2D shapes.
• Matching - Students must drag the 2D shape to match the clue.
• Buzzing with Shapes (Harcourt School Publishers) - For two players - Similiar to TIC-TAC-TOE but using 2D shapes.
• Estimate and Measure Area of Shapes. Students estimate how many square units it will take to cover various sized shapes. They then drag the shapes onto grid paper and determine the correct area. Answers provided.
• 2-D to 3-D Morphing.(PBS). Make cool 3-D shapes out of paper.
• Geometric Solids - A great applet for manipulating and exploring solids. Advanced.
• Tangram (PBS) - Flip, rotate, slide and fill in a selected shape. Lots of fun!!
• Line Symmetry (Harcourt School Publishers) - Watch this interactive demonstration to learn more about line symmetry.
• Symmetry (Harcourt School Publishers) - Drag the line of symmetry to the correct position.
