Ryan's story is a hard one to get your head around, yet, there are other stories that are almost like his. To become familar with the background regarding Ryan's life and the bullying he was subjected to, please read his father's account of what happened and what led up to the day that changed the Halligan's lives forever. Put a face to bullying and the real-life consequences. Help your students understand that they have the power to do good. Help your students understand eachother.
