Introduction

Welcome to the Famous Scientists / Inventors Challenge. This is an online voyage of discovery about people who have questioned the world around them and made important choices and discoveries as a result. It is an opportunity for you to investigate the lives of inventors and discoverers who followed their own burning questions. You will do this in the form of a biography.

As you read online and in reference books, you will develop your skills in reading informational material, summarizing, reporting, and critical thinking. You may also be encouraged to explore some "burning questions" of your own.

In the end, you will be asked to share your findings with those around you either in the form of an oral presentation or as a science fair project.
