This Web Quest is written for grade eight students. The Web Sites and graphics were chosen for their suitability to that age level.

The Web Quest is designed to complement the Sask. Learning curricula for the Burning Questions Unit in Grade 8 Language Arts and the Earth and Space Unit in Grade 8 Science. The Web Quest will assist students in reaching the objectives for those two units.

It is suggested that students be encouraged to learn more about other famous people who have made contributions to the world of science. This might best be accomplished by having them look closely at the web sites found in the conclusion of this web quest.
