Learning With Webquests

As defined by Dodge (1995), a WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. This model was developed in early 1995 at San Diego State University by Bernie Dodge with Tom March.

This site is designed to serve as a resource to those who would like to use the WebQuest model to teach with the web. Also presented is a series of WebQuests created by Saskatchewan teachers for Saskatchewan curriculum. We try to regularly update these projects. Projects for grades K-5 are labeled with an E, grades 6-8 with an M, and grades 9-12 with an S. After viewing these projects, please feel free to send your questions, comments and/or suggestions to them or to Judy Byers, Project Leader: Online Learning.
