ONLINE ACTIVITIES - DATA COLLECTION

These activities have been created and/or gathered to give students an opportunity to use technology to access information that can help them practice particular skills or to apply new skills to real-world situations. These activities are done at the computer, although a paper and pencil may be required to make notes as you proceed through the activities.

• Activity 1: Data Collection and Resources in Saskatchewan/Canada - Students are required to use Statistics Canada's web site to access data that can help them answer questions pertaining to Saskatchewan resources.
• Activity 2: Data Collection and Saskatchewan - The Environment - Students are required to use Statistics Canada's web site and Natural Resources Canada's web site to access data that can help them answer questions pertaining to Saskatchewan environment. Students must be able to interpret data from data sets as well as coloured maps.
