What
is a Math Planner?
The
planners were designed to save valuable time for teachers
in the Saskatoon Public School Division, as they blend lessons
from a variety of resources into their classroom mathematics
program. The planners list a topic's objectives (from the
Saskatchewan Evergreen Curriculum) and then list the page
numbers from various math resources (text books) where you
will find materials to teach a particular objective.
The
Math Planners were created to be used as a planning document
so there is room for your own notes and planning within
the document itself. Since Problem Solving is often taught
within other topics, there is a section of this document
that summarizes which Problem Solving objectives are being
taught while teaching within a particular topic. The Math
Planners also identify when an objective is new to a grade
level or if it should have been previously taught.
