Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as the act of presenting someone else's work as your own. Plagiarism is the theft of intellectual property. To avoid plagiarism, you must give credit whenever you use:

  • ideas, opinions or theories of another person or organization,
  • facts, statistics, graphs or drawings of another person or organization,
  • quotations, or paraphrases attributable to another person or organization.
