Step Six

Step Six: Examining the Evidence

"When you think you have enough evidence to reach a reasonable conclusion, it is time to summarize and consider your information. This will allow you to say with certainty what you know and what you don't. You may decide you’ve gone as far as you can with your inquiry even though you cannot reach a final conclusion. You may want to continue investigating and experimenting. You may still have additional questions or perhaps even new questions. Remember that the process of inquiring is more important than arriving at a definitive answer. The learning occurs during the journey."

The step that follows will help you organize and summarize your evidence for reflection and help you in determining how close you are to reaching a conclusion and if you want or need to collect more information.
