Description
This
unit is about tales of imaginary magical creatures (like elves,
giants, or leprechauns) in ordinary everyday settings, or in
magical lands (like Oz, Narnia, or Wonderland.) It also
can include stories of incredible or magical events that
happen to ordinary people.

the Internet sources listed. Students then answer written questions about
the story to measure attention and comprehension. Finally each each student
writes an original tall tale based on either real or imagined experience.
