Autobiography of Anything - Everything has a story! Everything comes,
in its elemental origin, from the Earth. Students collect common everyday
things and weave a story around their past.

Story of Our Lives- This series of lessons are in two parts. In part one
students are introduced to autobiographies with opportunities to select and
read autobiographies of their choice and to talk and write about their own
experiences. In part two students discuss, read and write a biography.

ME ALL ABOUT YOURSELF! - Students read, list the components, critique,
and research various autobiographies. Students then write their own autobiography
to share orally with the class and to post on the internet. NOTE: Teacher
must be cognizant of regulations regarding posting personal information and/or
photos on the Internet. See Internet Acceptable Use Procedures form.
- Graphic
Life Map - This is a prewriting activity for personal memoir or autobiographical
writing. Students brainstorm for important memories, create graphics or symbols
for their most important memories, and construct a life map on tag board or
construction paper, connecting drawings and captions of high and low points
with a highway.
