Description (from Crossroads Series)
In this unit, students will learn about different types of media, especially the Internet, television, movies and advertising. Other topics may include special effects, packaging and commercials. Students will develop their media literacy skills by analyzing stereotypes, examining and developing advertisements, producing television news, and assessing and creating marketing ideas.
Formats may include a memoir, poem, essay, editorial, script, debate, comic strip, print ads and articles.
