  • Pembina.org - excellent source of good, science based info on the suitability of various energy sources. Also, follow through this site to Green Learning for teaching resources (Go Green to sign up for their newsletter); or www.re-energy.ca for student and teacher resources on renewable energy.
  • Energy Quest - a California site that connects to MANY lesson plans. Some are quite dated however. Click on the apple next to the computer, then on Lesson Plans then on Alliance to Save Energy then on Lesson Plans again.
  • Patagonia - click on The Footprint Chronicles, then the map at the bottom of the page. Shows the distances travelled, waste generated, and energy consumed in the manufacturing of various items they sell.
  • Climate Hot Map -This website show things that are really happening because of climate change around the globe.
  • SCN has a series called Green Life that is all about Energy, Climate and Environmental issues IN SASKATCHEWAN. ClimateClassroom.org (Ranger Rick) helps educate children about global climate change in accurate, developmentally appropriate, and hopeful ways. Sections designed for parents and K-12 educators provide talking points, attractive visuals, instructional guidelines, and helpful resource links for investigating the topic with children. An additional section for school-age children offers quality learning experiences and realistic suggestions for becoming part of the global-warming solution.
