This site contains a series of links to actual hands-on lessons and activities for studying magnets.
  • List of sites – including science and magnets
This site includes a list of sites that contain science lesson plans for teachers. It includes magnets, along with a variety of other topics.
  • Exploring Magnets and Magnetism
This site provides lessons on magnetism. This workshop will introduce the teacher to an inquiry-based exploration of magnets and magnetism. The primary goal will be to show how students can discover the properties of magnets and magnetic fields. This activity will allow participants to use the science process skills of observation, data collection and recording. Through inference, they will make generalizations based upon their results.
  • Physical Processes - Magnetism
This site contains interactive activities for students. They can explore the principles of magnetism through on-site power point lessons and through interactive programs. Lots of other science topics are included.
  • Magnet Lesson Plans
  • Cool Experiments with Magnets
This web site is devoted to magnetism and the experiments you can do with permanent magnets and electro-magnets.
