Howard Anderson served in the Canadian army in World War II.
Today, he is the Grand Chief of the Saskatchewan First Nations
Veteran's Association. This organization recognizes and honours
veterans for their contribution, bravery, loyalty, suffering

a nice site that contains primary documents related to Riel
such as his trial speech, photographs, and newspaper accounts.
