General Resources

• PBS Kids - PBS has several games for use with white boards. This could be a great place to start off the younger learners who need to learn about the operation of the SMART Boards.
• Jigsaw Planet- On this web site you can create your own jigsaw puzzles. Once the puzzles are created, project them onto the SMART Board and kids can manipulate the peices on the board. Consider educational uses of this applications such as putting together maps or anatomy images. Or, perhaps you have a photo from a field trip that could be turned into a jigsaw and used as a spring board to move further into the topic at hand.
• SMART Board Sound Files - A list of websites where you can find sound files for your SMART Board lessons.

ART Resources

• Jackson Pollock - (read more about action painting) and then let kids try their hand at it in this flash animated art canvas. With each new click, a new colour of paint is used.
• MisterTeacher - Mini movies and flash animations that can be downloaded and inserted into your Notebook files to create great lessons.

• Breathing Earth - Co2 Emmisions, Birth Rates, Death Rates by County in simulated real time. Scroll down the homepage for more details on the background of the site.
• Science Simulations - Fun, interactive, research-based simulations of physical phenomena from the PhET project at the University of Colorado. Also contains ideas for using the Simulations. Senior Sciences.
• Google Flu - Who knew? We've found that certain search terms are good indicators of flu activity. Google Flu Trends uses aggregated Google search data to estimate flu activity.
• GE - Plug into the Smart Grid -(Augmented Reality) Innovation can help reduce carbon footprints - see how!
• Peep In The Big Wide World (Kindergarten) - Look behind all the fun! See which science and math concepts are being explored as kids play our online games. If you want to take that exploration into the real world, we also suggest a few Anywhere Science and Math Activities to try
