Task

Your study of the rocks found in nature has shown you that each rock type likely has its own plusses and minuses when it comes to strength, weatherproof properties and durability (the ability to last over time).

You will need to study the kinds of rocks and choose from these the kind of rock you will suggest for construction: igneous, sedimentary, or metamorphic rocks.

Then with your team partner, you should create a list of criteria you will use to make your choice, considering such criteria as strength of the rock, availability, beauty, cost, etc. Be prepared to present your choice to your clients explaining why you made the choice you did and why the other materials would be unsatisfactory.

Finally, you will show a finished picture or drawing of the house you hope will be chosen for construction.
